Eligibility Criteria for PM Internship Scheme
The PMIS was launched with the primary aim of helping young professionals in India gain practical skills and industrial experience through internships at top companies across industries.
However, to apply for the program, you must meet the following criteria:

The candidate must be strictly an Indian citizen. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are not eligible for this scheme.

There is a certain age limit to consider while applying for this program. Individuals between the ages of 21 and 24 are eligible for this program. However, an age relaxation of up to 3 years is applicable for candidates from SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD categories.

Although the PM internship scheme includes candidate profiles with one year of experience, candidates must not be engaged in full-time employment or full-time education while applying for internships under this scheme.

The applicant must have a valid Aadhaar linked bank account. This will be used for the stipend release. The account must be active and linked with NPCI for direct bank transfers.

Ineligibility for PM Internship Scheme
The applicants will be disqualified or considered ineligible for the PM internship scheme under the following circumstances:
- Are above or below the age limit (21-24 years).
- Are currently engaged in full-time employment or education.
- Do not have a valid Aadhaar-linked bank account.
- Fail background verification or provide incorrect information.
- Have participated in any other government-sponsored internship or training program.
- Have a criminal record or pending legal cases.
