You can use Axis Mobile for Axis Bank Mobile Banking services, through which you can access various features like core banking options, card management, payments and recharge, investment and finance, UPI and QR services and many other features.

Axis Mobile Banking Application Registration Process

Registering on the Axis Mobile Banking app is a one-time process, using which you can start a new account straight from the application itself.

This requires an active mobile number, proof of address, an Aadhaar and a PAN card for eKYC purposes. This ensures security and device-level linkage.

You can follow the steps mentioned below to register your account and start using your application.

  1. Download the Axis Mobile App (latest version) from the Play Store or the App Store. This is also known as the Open by Axis Banking app.
  2. Alternatively, you can send an SMS “MBANK” to 56161600 to get a download link via SMS.

  3. Tap on the “Open A Savings Account” option on the app opening interface or click on the “Login” button on the same screen.
  4. Register using your mobile number by entering your mobile number and then verifying using OTP.
  5. Set an mPIN for your application.
  6. Verify yourself using PAN and Aadhaar.
  7. Fill in your details.
  8. Complete the e-KYC and get your account activated.
  9. After using the mPIN to log into your accounts, all your linked accounts will be displayed.

If you already have an account and are registering for the Axis Mobile application, you would have to go through different steps after step 4.

  1. Use your internet banking credentials, such as login ID and password, to verify your account.
  2. Enter your debit card details and verify.
  3. You will be prompted to enter your details, after which you will be asked to enter two sets of OTPS, sent to your mobile number and email, respectively.

Once registered, users can log in to the Axis Mobile app using an MPIN or biometric verification. These secure login protocols ensure protection against unauthorised access and malicious activity.

You can follow the steps mentioned below to log in to your Axis Mobile application.

  1. Once you open the app, you will be prompted to enter your app password, mPIN or fingerprint.
  2. Once you have entered one of them, you will be directed to the dashboard.
  3. On the dashboard,
    1. All your accounts will be displayed above.
    2. You can use the profile button in the leftmost corner to access various features offered by the bank.

Creating Axis Mobile Banking App Password (MPIN)

An MPIN (Mobile Personal Identification Number) is mandatory to access the app securely. It acts as your mobile banking password and can be reset easily if forgotten. This is stored inside your phone, but accessed in the presence of an internet connection. Hence, the Internet is necessary even for offline usage of the Axis mobile application on a phone.

Here are the simple steps to create an mPIN.

  1. During registration, you’ll be prompted to set a 6-digit MPIN after your account has been activated successfully.
  2. You can reset your MPIN from the login page using OTP.
  3. Biometric login can be linked later for added security.

You can change your mPIN by choosing the option “Forgot mPIN”. It will be followed by a step-by-step approach on resetting your mPIN using your registered mobile number and email ID.
