Indian Bank debit card limits vary by card type, with daily ATM withdrawal limits and POS/ POS/e-commerce transaction limits typically ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹1,00,000, which can be adjusted using the IB Smart Remote app.
An Indian Bank ATM card is activated immediately upon issuance when the customer sets the PIN at the branch or ATM. If the card is delivered by mail, activation may take 1–2 working days after PIN setup, depending on the activation method used.
Indian Bank does not charge an annual maintenance fee for debit cards in the first year; from the second year onward, the fee is ₹60 in rural and suburban areas and ₹120 in urban and metropolitan areas.
To activate your Indian Bank debit card, visit any Indian Bank ATM, set your 4-digit PIN using the 'Generate/Set PIN' option. You can also activate it through internet banking, the IndOasis app, phone banking, or SMS.
To generate or change your Indian Bank ATM PIN via mobile, download the IB Smart Remote app> log in with your account details< Select the 'Green PIN' option under the 'Cards' section. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number, which you can use to set a new PIN at any Indian Bank ATM.
