However, there are certain terms and conditions to be followed:
General Rules:
- Make sure your nominee details are updated with the bank for smooth claim processing.
- Your debit card must be active (used at least once in the last 30 days).
- Negligence or breaking the law is not covered.
- You must report the claim within 30 days of the incident to Royal Sundaram.
- All required documents must be submitted within 30 days after reporting the claim.
Air Accident Insurance (Up to ₹1 Crore):
- This covers accidental death while traveling by airline, only if the ticket was bought using the covered debit card.
- Claims must be reported and documents submitted within 30 days of the incident.
- Pilots, air crew, armed forces, and police are not covered.
Purchase Protection Insurance (Up to ₹55,000)
- Only applies to items bought using your Standard Chartered debit card.
- Covers theft, fire, or accidental damage to items bought using the debit card and kept at home.
- Jewellery, perishable items, earthquake, terrorism, and mysterious loss are not covered.
- Valid for 90 days from the date of purchase.
- Claims must be reported and documents submitted within 30 days.
