The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) is a government scheme launched in 2019 to help farmers use solar energy for agriculture. It supports the installation of solar-powered pumps and small solar plants on farmland. This means farmers can reduce their dependence on diesel and traditional electricity and even earn money by selling extra solar power back to the grid.
