1.Visit the official website of UIDAI – uidai.gov.in. Under ‘My Aadhaar’ section, click on ‘Aadhaar Services’.

2.Click on the “Virtual ID (VID) Generator” link.

3.Select “Generate VID” and Enter your Aadhaar number and Captcha displayed on the screen.

4.Click on the “Send OTP” button.

5.You will receive an OTP (One Time Password) on your registered mobile number.

6.Enter the OTP in the space provided and click on “Verify & Proceed”.

7.A new page will appear where you will get a message saying “Your VID (16-digit VID) has been sent to your Aadhaar-registered mobile.”

8.Finally, you will receive a message on your registered mobile number containing the 16-digit Virtual ID for your Aadhaar number and the last 4 digits of your Aadhaar.

1. Download the mAadhaar app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

3. On the home screen, click on the option “Generate Virtual ID.”
4. Enter your Aadhaar number and the 4-digit captcha code.
5. Click on “Request OTP” to receive the OTP on your registered mobile number.
6. Enter the OTP received on your mobile. Click on “Generate VID” to receive your Virtual ID (VID).

To generate an Aadhaar Virtual ID through SMS, you can follow these steps:

1. From your registered mobile number, send an SMS in the format: “GVID Last 4 digits of Aadhaar Number” to 1947.
2. For example, if your Aadhaar number’s last 4 digits are 1234, you would send: “GVID 1234” to 1947.
3. You will receive an SMS containing your 16-digit Aadhaar Virtual ID on your registered mobile number.
